Fitted Bedroom with Wall Panelling, North London

A North London client found us, while searching for fitted bedroom specialists on Google. They were drawn to the sleek, contemporary look of our past projects. They looked at our different projects/case studies and were impressed by the refined finishes and bespoke craftsmanship. They had already received quotes from two other companies, including one of the largest and most well-known brands in the UK.

The brief was clear: they wanted a sleek, minimalistic, ‘hotel-inspired bedroom’ with rich finishes, soft lighting, and fully integrated features. The bedroom to be custom-built to precise measurements without the high-end brand price tag!

Design Concept & Execution

Innovative Designs delivered a tailored, fully integrated concept that reflected the client’s aesthetic vision while optimising comfort and practicality. Our bespoke layout included:

• Full Height Vertical Wall Panelling: We used soft touch matte grey laminate panels with precise vertical grooves to create a clean lined, contemporary backdrop for the headboard. These were built wall to wall and floor to ceiling for a seamless effect.
• Statement Walnut Veneer Headboard Band: A warm walnut panel spans the headboard width, adding contrast, richness, and a natural tactile element to soften the modern grey palette.
• Floating Bedside Tables: Custom made, and wall mounted, the minimalist floating units provided surface space without interrupting floor flow. These also incorporated concealed cable management for bedside lighting.
• Ambient Integrated Lighting: LED strip lighting runs behind the walnut panel, providing soft, indirect illumination that enhances mood and depth. Suspended pendant lights on either side bring a boutique hotel atmosphere with a modern edge.
• Mirrored Sliding Wardrobe: On the right side, a floor to ceiling sliding mirrored wardrobe with deep storage creates a sense of spaciousness while offering ample internal storage with soft close fittings.

• Lighting: Custom LED warm glow strips + pendant bulbs in matte black housing
• Flooring: Tradeflooringuk’s Herringbone oak floor retained and coordinated with walnut tones provided
