Built-in Wardrobe Hampstead

Our clients located in Hampstead, wanted a modern built-in wardrobe for their newly renovated bedroom. They aimed to make full use of the available floor-to-ceiling space while ensuring the wardrobe harmonised with the room’s contemporary style. They sought a  design that is going with the interiors of the bedroom, especially the bespoke flooring made by TradeFlooringUK  and the interiors and furniture.

Wardrobe Configuration: The wardrobe was designed with a floor-to-ceiling configuration, fully utilising the height and width of the available space. The design incorporated rich dark wood and tinted glass, giving the room a luxurious yet understated appearance.

  • Dark Wood Frame with Tinted Glass Panels: The wardrobe’s frame and outer sections were crafted from dark wood, offering a sleek, elegant finish. The wardrobe panels were made from tinted glass, which added a modern, reflective element while subtly concealing the contents inside. The tinted glass provided a balance of privacy and style, ensuring the wardrobe maintained a clean, sophisticated look.
  • Full-Length Design: Spanning from floor to ceiling, the wardrobe was tailored to maximise storage space. The full-length design allowed ample room for hanging clothes, shelving, and storage compartments, ensuring that the entire space was utilised efficiently.

Matching Bed Panelling and Shelving: To create a cohesive design throughout the bedroom, the bed’s headboard was customised with matching dark wood panelling. The headboard also featured an open shelving section in the center, allowing the clients to store books, decor, and personal items within easy reach.

Bespoke Bedside Tables: On either side of the bed, matching bedside tables were designed from the same dark wood material. These tables were minimalist in design, complementing the overall modern aesthetic of the room while providing practical storage and surface space.

The Design Process

Initial Consultation: Clients initially approached Innovative Designs with a clear vision for their bedroom—a modern, luxurious space that felt both stylish and functional. They were particularly drawn to the idea of combining dark wood with tinted glass for the wardrobe, and they wanted the room’s elements, such as the bed and bedside tables, to maintain a unified design language.

Design Proposal: After understanding the family’s needs and style preferences, the design team presented a proposal featuring a floor-to-ceiling wardrobe with a dark wood frame and tinted glass panels. The proposal also included a matching headboard with integrated shelving and bespoke bedside tables, all crafted from the same wood as the wardrobe. Clients were impressed by how the design balanced modern aesthetics with functionality, and they quickly approved the project.

Customisation and Approval: The design team worked closely with the clients to ensure the wardrobe and bedroom furniture met their exact specifications. They selected the precise tint for the glass panels and finalisd the wood finish to achieve the sleek, modern look the family desired. With the customisation details locked in, the project moved forward swiftly.

Installation and Outcome

Installation Timeline: The wardrobe and bedroom furniture were custom-built and installed within six weeks. The installation team took great care to ensure the perfect alignment of the wardrobe, the fit of the glass panels, and the seamless integration of the headboard and bedside tables.

Final Result: The finished product transformed the bedroom into a modern, luxurious retreat. The dark wood and tinted glass panels of the built-in wardrobe added a striking visual element, while the floor-to-ceiling design maximized storage. The matching wood panelling behind the bed and open shelving provided a seamless transition between the wardrobe and the bed, creating a cohesive, well-thought-out design. The bedside tables were the perfect finishing touch, providing both style and practicality.
